How will it help?

The links may still be out there and if somebody finds a page which get a 404 page like this...

Not Found
The requested URL /Wedding-Hairdresser-Milton-Keynes-links-Exchange.html was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

...they are very rarely going to start digging around to find the website. Make it easy for people to carry on looking around your website rather than letting them go to find another hairdresser in MK.
Steve and Tomsk both talking a lot of sense.

That is because I have renamed the htm file for these pages

Quality links are important but so is also ensuring you haven't got deadlinks. I notice they're still dead. I suggest you get a page setup to deal with all the 404 errors.

Arguing with the hosting company while your off the air isn't the time to get it sorted..

...I like the idea of hearing you rant. Almost miss it

Though, got to agree, backups and DR plans are essential!

Good grief.. ..almost a heated debate! I thought this was the Take a Break! section

Agree with you, that once people have a right to something they should be consulted before taking away...

...and yes, there are some people happy to work on a factory floor and answer to a bell. Nothing wrong with that either. As long as they are happy. It'd be a boring world if we were all the same.

Is it only me that fell off my chair reading this article? BBC News - Carlsberg workers strike over beer limits

If you don't want to read it, a summary>>
Carlsberg workers in Copenhagen have gone on strike against new rules that restrict the amount of free beer they can consume during their working day.

So there not even stopping it - amazing.
Shall now consign IE to the bin...

Welcome to the 21st Century Steve

Cracking effort Kip... ...but does this sort of site already exist though in a variety of forms? A quick search of Google brings up similar sites and options for me to achieve the same thing?

Obviously, I've set you up to sell it to me/us

Go on do the hard sell!! I'm just not seeing it at the moment except for.....

....the great domain name.
OpenOffice/Microsoft Office 8th April 2010 12:34 PM
...Only complaint I have so far is Open Office seems to be a bit slower to open a file

Not sure any quicker, but is it only me who uses Google Docs?
China has a big population and it is a market that is only going to get bigger (if allowed). Other companies have succeeded - you need to play with the rules of the country you're working in. If you don't agree then pull out like Google have.

The one winner out of it is China's most popular (& censored) search engine, www.baidu.com
