As mrb says, there are great benefits working in a niche industry!

....and if I had a pound for the number of times people coming to me wanting to pitch themselves against the big companies I'd be a rich man. Yes it's possible but a good key to success is picking and choosing your niche market and selling a product/service in a small market where you can have a USP and therefore sell lots :-) ...a small niche in a worldwide market can be a lot of people and a lot of pounds/dollars/euros...

Well done, and it highlights the benefits of working in a niche market.

Keep up the good work.

I ranked 1/10 but in all honesty I don't know what that means!

I've always thought this Wikipedia page was a good explantion (and it hasn't changed much from when I last saw it). It shows the value of good, quality links - rather than just quantity.

Jim Davison & mrb 31st March 2010 2:14 PM
Is it me or does forum member mrb look like a young Jim Davison in his profile pic?

No offence intended mrb

No offence taken, presume you mean Jim Davidson. ..and it's not often I still get called young.

For me that's a first. There have been comparisons with other famous people.
I can safely I've not been married & divorced as many times as him, and I've not been declared bankrupt like he was a few years ago... ..there again, I haven't become as rich as he was in the height of his fame.

So, tomsk, err... ....you look like one of the english punctuation marks, in fact rather like a few others, you look like a mark indicating a question - ah yes, a question mark. Unanswered or unknown - your identity is still a question mark to most of us.
As Victor Meldrew would say, I don't believe it, they're given away iPads to University Students.
What makes a GREAT read? 30th March 2010 8:27 PM
Well, there are many books that will make me smile but there are none that I can currently think of that make me laugh out loud whilst reading except for....

....Bill Bryson, and if you've never read any of his books I'd suggest you start with his travels around Europe, Neither here nor there.
