Laptop & ipad Suggestions Please 19th October 2011 4:20 PM
have you considered the Dell Inspiron Duo flip screen thing? I have no reason to promote this, not have I tried it, but it looks a good idea - but read some reviews of course!
Nice one, though magazines still have there place. You wouldn't squat a fly with your iPad!

haha, Ive found my ipad to be a fantastic spider squasher! (it was on my bed, I did consider the soft landing for the ipad lol)
twitter good for SEO? 19th October 2011 2:19 PM
Do you reckon this is still the case with other Social Media sites now it has Google Plus? My guess it will be simply use it's own social network rather than rely on what are now direct competitors.

for the big G to exclude other results would be wrong on so many levels, for one G+ is not without its flaws but also you undoubtably would get more accurate figures over a cross section of networks than over one?

the fact that google is yet to actually build a sustainable social network would make me very reluctant to rely on my own results if I worked there!
SEO vs PPC 18th May 2011 1:00 PM
Hey Nikora, you know what they say...

content is king...

Its like the word "nice", its short pointless and hardly means anything!

What you actually mean is, good quality content which engages the user and proves to be an interesting enough read that people feel compelled to share it with others and is not ripped from some other site that people have read a million times so that you can gain a few keywords to your site... is king!
SEO vs PPC 18th May 2011 12:00 PM
Right, I hate it when people babble on about content is king, but it is true and you could find the best way to start ranking for lots of keywords is by adding lots of content.
Unfortunatly it doesnt end there as all this wonderful new content could be optimised to make it rank better. Its the same with PPC, you can optimise your pages, not just your adverts and they can work off each other.
Our most succesful clients use a combination of new content, onsite and off site SEO and PPC.
I wouldnt recomend one over the other simply because I dont know enough about your site and where you are in promoting it, but I do think too many people grab at PPC as some miracle cure, if your landing page isnt optimised then the advert is going to cost you twice as much and when someone lands on your page their not going to buy, so I would just say make sure your site is up to scratch before embarking on PPC.
Google + 1 18th April 2011 3:24 PM
well in that point the difference is that the facebook like button is on the site, people can review the site and without leaving it click the "like" button whereas with google you are e3ssentially liking a search result rather than an actual website, which does seem silly to me.

I do believe the +1 is going to be integrated into a button you can put on yor site and this will make more sense to me.

certainly google are big enough to make this work, I'm not totally knocking it, there just are some issues with it.

My personal opinion is I think google would do a lot better in the social circle if they dropped trying to make it a google product as such and instead made a totally new company, new name etc and went about doing what google were meant to be and allow it to be free and open for everyone to use.

I honestly think this is flawed on so many levels, why am I voting for a search result before even visiting the site? umm because I own, work on or have some affilliation to the site most probably! otherwise, really? whould I bother?

On that note, Mark Pitts and I have been doing some experimenting, started at number 41 on Saturday, now page one of google London Swimming Pools is the key phrase he wanted doing.

Very promising, what other experimenting have you been doing?
