Debt and Mental Health 3rd April 2021 8:55 AM
I think mental health and financial health are linked. People in debt are more likely to drink, abuse drugs and there is a distinct correlation between high debt levels and increased risk of depression and relationship breakdown.

Have I missed anything?

I agree with you. Can give some piece of advice on how to be debt-free?

I guess the camera does wonder here but that cheered me up and laugh out loud.

What is your best summertime memory? 31st March 2021 8:02 AM

The best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been, and the memories we've made along the way. I found some fun summer activities that you may like https://www.womansday.com/life/work-money/tips/g1212/summer-activities/. Making memories worth remembering.

What is your best summertime memory? 29th March 2021 4:53 AM
As a kid back in the 70s I use to hang out at a place called Tregantle Beach down in Cornwall..... just me and my dog Ben and a few mates.....no one else around for miles, use to have fires with the washed up timber, burning up washed up oil slicks not realising what they actually were, baking potatoes and other food, rock pool fishing and of course puffing on the odd cigarette without being told off by any adults..... the 1976 drought was just brilliant.... all totally innocent and wonderful life..... sadly it with more people having access to cars it has become touristy.......I’d flip back to that life in a second if I could..”

Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

Back to school, back to work? 26th March 2021 8:35 AM
Are you happy today that the children are back?

I think most people have a sense of relief and the children are definitely ready to be back.

However, it's also completely normal to have some anxiety or worry about it.

I know in my case the children are nervous so I will feel better when I know whether they've had a great day.

It's been a long time off, especially for younger ones. My son is only 4 and has only had a term of school so he just can't remember that he really enjoys it.

I think there are elements of guilt for me as well as we didn't do much homeschooling and also I feel like we could have made even more of the time off, which was really a sort of gift as you'd never usually get that time with your kids.

But for the most part, let's face it has been very difficult at times. I know for us that behaviour has deteriorated and they are in desperate need of social interaction with peers and a structured school day.

So enjoy you days but remember don't just fill them with work, have some long awaited me time as well!

Long live school and let's hope this time they stay open! Because remote learning is the pits!

In my opinion. Face to face is better than Virtual.

Hmmm... It is indeed interesting. Thank you for this one, Rebecca.
