If you invented a teleporter 27th December 2011 6:56 PM
I'd go back to just before the teleporter was invented and steal the idea, selling it for a huge amount of cash

Of course this could go round and round and...
Hi,

I'm a Mac and Windows user, currently writing this on a Mac with Parallels installed to run Windows when I need it.

I've just started using the latest version of parallels and this is much better compared to my previous version. It now allows Windows applications to run almost as if they are Mac applications, which makes it much easier for those of us that are more used to using Windows.

Macs are very useful, especially in media-related areas such as web design, music and video editing. One of the things I like most about mine is the battery life which is often over five hours for me.

The best thing to do though is to use a Mac as your only computer and then only install Windows applications if you can't find a Mac alternative.

Hope this helps? Probably not...

I would use something like webhelpdesk.com

You can enter each job that you do as a 'ticket' and add in the hours it tasks to complete each task.

It's a good way to do what you want it to do as well as ensuring that you record all the different pieces of information about the job.

Hope this helps.
prevent spam through contact form 27th December 2011 6:03 PM
Are you sure that the e-mails are coming via the contact form? Do you have the same e-mail address posted somewhere on your site?

I was just thinking that perhaps a crawler has picked up your address and you are getting spammed directly to it, rather than through the contact form.

Sales 27th December 2011 5:58 PM
On a similar note, has anybody had any experience with offering clients discount codes to work on their web site?

I'm thinking about running some offers whereby clients can enter a promo code into our shopping cart before payment to reduce the cost by 10%.

Does anyone have any real experience with this? Did you see sales go up?

Logo designed in the vector format or psd format?

Brilliant! You can't even compare the two. Vector v bitmap, yes. psd v png, yes.

Vector v psd, fail!
How to stop users using printer 27th December 2011 12:57 PM
If you can't find one, it could be an option to write a script to do this. Only a few lines of code which could be put together.

We used to use something similar where I used to work to map the printers. The same script can be modified to 'disconnect' the printers at log on and then a password could be added that would run the script and 'connect' the printers again.

Let us know.
