Mail campaigns seem to catch lots of people out. Most of us have been guilty of it at some point, from typos to wrong fields populated in databases.
If you do have a large mail list, make sure your auto fields are updated correctly. If your contact name field isn't reliable, think twice about using it.
Here's a great example of a clunker below showing even the big boys get it wrong from time to time.
Dear Admin,
Today we called you Craig by mistake. Although that is a great name, we realise the confusion it created as it might not be yours! This was due to a bug in our email update and we'll make sure it does not happen again. You can find the original email below.....
So first we are called Craig, then emailed again and called Admin. It's nice to feel valued and special
