an interesting article about UK time change - BBC News - UK time change 'would save CO2 emissions'

Was going to put this under rants but there is a serious element to this. Does day light savings impact on your business. Would you be better off having a single time or are you in favour of day light savings?

Are the proposals put forward actually going to benefit anyone or is it just a "Green" issue?

My 2 pennies - having gone through 13 years of pain with kids taking a week or 2 to settle down after the clocks change im actualy in favour of leaving the hours be, stop messing around & agree on the best time zone & leave be.

I feel for Steve and anyone else with a young family having to go through the changes - its not fun! Least mine are old enough now to be told lie in bed until a set time (or else dad gets grumpy )

I suppose I can see the point, ie reduced CO2 due to less lights on etc in the evening, but wouldn't that mean darker mornings?

You've then got pedestrians and cyclists at risk in the morning?

I could definitely live without Daylight Savings. It's disconcerting enough to have the sun slipping away - that horrible moment when you realise you're going home and it's dark already - without needlessly jolting everyone's body clock.
