In this day an age you do not need an Attorney to set up an LLC. Most states allow you to form an LLC, corporation, etc right on their web site. I live in New Jersey and set up an LLC with the state for under $200. You should also consult with an accountant to make sure you set up the right type of business entity. Setting up a corporation will protect your personal assets. If you have a low net worth than you probably should just get some clients, make some money and set up the official corporation when you are somewhat established. (I'm not an attorney and I am not giving you legal advise)

Can you actually afford the premiums, I remember a few years ago quoting a chap who had just bought a burger van i think, spent thousands doing it up, then came to me for a quote. Broke his heart when i told him the price - think the van sold the next day at a huge loss!
