That time of year again, so things slowing down or ramping up?

We tend to see advertising slow down during Dec and Jan for our directories, then pick up again in Feb. It gives us a chance to get any code updates done, and New Year marketing battle plans drawn up.

So how do the Winter months treat your business? Do things slow down a bit, or are you ramping up for a huge xmas rush?

As I have recently tweeted, with so many people hating what Christmas has become, is anyone brave enough to stop playing the game?

I know - Humbug!

The upside is that mailings usually pick up at this time of year

Getting a bit heated here - clearly people want more leaflets!

I know the feeling! Decided this year, we are going to donate to our local Air Ambulance instead of dishing out presents, which saves the annual trek round the John Lewis Gift dept

Good to see so many businesses are busy! Maybe we will have a busy December and January after all

I don't know, this is my first Christmas as a business... I've been warned that one of my clients who has an online shop will need a bit more support keeping on top of their Christmas rush but at the moment things are just trundling along at a steady pace.

Unless, of course, we count my other half as a client in need of being organised. Our Christmas last year ran like clockwork despite the fact he was on a crazy work schedule. I had all the presents bought, delivered and wrapped by the beginning of December, as well as writing all the cards and stacking them up for him to autograph. I even sorted everything into plastic storage boxes so that each weekend of Advent when we went to visit family and friends there was no fuss, no stress, no last-minute present drama or frantically searching for small items that had been put "somewhere safe". We could just toss that weekend's box into the car knowing that it contained all the right cards and gifts. In the planning stages I did wonder if I was over-engineering a bit, but looking back I'm glad I did.

Hi, just had a large batch of leaflets printed recently. The results are going pretty well. It seems a lot of people are buying skincare products this Christmas. When I'm looking to do my next print run I will have to see how you compare to my regular leaflet printers.
