Did anyone see this old footage of London in 1942 on the news last night? Amazing, but the old commentary always puts me in mind of Harry Enfield's Mr Cholmondley-Warner.

Hmmm, all sounds a bit familiar.... But then critics of the time said exactly the same in Nelsons day, so nothing really changes

You can't beat a clipped BBC accent though, "what ho chaps" Just wouldn't sound right as a Brummy...
