I am not from a business background. But i am going to start my own business. I have need of information regarding the business like what are the factors which are important before planning a business thanks in advance. Thanks in advance..
Welcome aboard Arnold That's a pretty hefty question. You'll probably find the majority of us don't have business backgrounds. There are a multitude of factors all dependant on the type of business you are planning to start. Main thing you need is some capital. No money, then stick with employment! You don't need vast amounts, but starting a business does require dosh. As for the rest, you need to be a bit more forthcoming with the info. What is it you plan to do/sell, and where do you plan to do it, bricks & mortar, online or both?
Firstly, good luck with your new business venture. Not everyone who starts their own company has a 'business background'. What is your business? What do you plan selling / what services will you be providing. I have recently started my own company and am learning things the hard way. 1) Market Research - research then research some more - Who are your competitors?, How big are your competitors?, How do you plan to compete with them? (example: there are over 100 recruitment agencies in Milton Keynes - so if anyone was planning on opening another one, they will need a big headstart. The ones in MK have money, experience, a huge client base and are well-known). 2) BUSINESS PLAN - sit down and get a business plan written up. You can find blank templates on the internet to help. Whilst you are doing this it will get you thinking more 'business like'. If you are doing this correct you would end up predicting your profit etc, setting yourself short term / long term goals to achieve etc. Kindest Steve
I suggest you to first work for some company/s, get experience how the companies are run. Then start your business. Moreover, visit UK Start up Business Link site to know more about how to start business. MontiC
Proper research of the buisness is the main essential thing that a person should confirm. That includes the scope , the resouces , Teams strength , economic decisions and all
Hi, You can consult some business consultants or you can go through the business consultants websites like richprice, etc. You need to build network with the people of same interest. You must build a perfect strategy before exploring your business. Hey! First off, welcome to the forums, always good to see a new face around! I'm Dave ![]() Lots and lots of business support organizations out there that can provide specialist advice and information free of charge, many even offer funding. The two best known are Business Link and The Princes Trust. Business Link is a government run organisation that has regional offices all around the country that are set up to help businesses in 'their' area. The Princes Trust are a charitable organization that work with young business people through their Enterprise Program to help get off the ground. I think its worth getting in touch with both to see how they may be able to help with your business ideas. Take on their advice, use the recourses they are able to provide and see how it goes! Keep us in the loop with how it's all going and if you need any help then I'm always around! ![]()
Hi Arnold What type of business venture are you going to start? You need to start off by doing a lot of planning and research. You need to know your market and know your competition. There are a lot of other things to look at including the finances, how you are going to get your business, etc, etc. depending on what type of business there are a host of things to consider. You can help and guidance off local business links, chambers of commerce, paid consultants but ultimately it's down to you. Good luck - it takes some guts to go for it. Make sure you have a cushion of money for the first few months since it may take a while to turn a profit even if you have a great idea and a great business. Azolla
