Right well my Mum is a full time childminder offering childcare in Warwickshire, working from home she has been doing this for over 11 year but, now she is finding it quite hard to find some clients so my question is do I start a website for her and promote her services?

She currently charges a fraction of what the main nurseries do as well any ideas?

Thanks,

Assuming she ticks all the legal boxes, wouldn't she be better registering with the Warwickshire Family Information Service?

Google Childminder Warwickshire and after the google places entries, the top 3 organic results are all warwick gov sites.

Also how about relevant forums like net mums?

I simple 1 or 2 page site can't hurt, but then you have hassle of marketing it, SEO etc.

I suppose a limited PPC campaign may be worth a go, especially with a new account and free

She is with all the legal sites etc and on most sites like Childcare UK, Helping Hands etc but it doesn't seem to pay off

Flyers at all the local health centers? Doctors surgeries, places where mums take babies to get weighed/see the health visitor?

We did think about this but this costs, we thought that allot of mums will be staying at home or going to health clinics as you said.

It's your Mum, no brainer, walk over broken glass and coals for her, do EVERYTHING you can.

It's not my place to simply start a website though, Due to legal stuff she has to be very careful

Has your Mum already got her (free) ads up in all the local supermarkets? Most of them only allow you to place your ad for 2 weeks at a time but surely the botheration of trekking round the supermarkets at intervals to replace the old ads is worth it?

Is your Mum also in the local services directories? Could she write brief columns for the free community newspapers (eg how to tame your toddler; fun and free things to do during the summer; and so on) in return for a bit of free advertising?

She is in most childecare websites, and also attends local toddler groups
