Something like a newer ford focus could do the job . I used to own one and it was always pretty reliable, I know that the newer models are pretty sporty as well so it could fit the bill!

I drive a Peugeot 207S. Fortunately, I took out the extended warranty, as it has not been without its problems.

I've been thinking of the MK4 Golf GT TDI but I am not sure, I like to have soemthing which is a little special but everyone has a golf

We traded in the missus's A3 recently, that looked pretty sporty and did a million miles to the gallon. Was the last of the older VW/Audi 1.9TDI's which is a superb engine. Pokey in a smaller car and pretty economical.

Maybe an older A3. Although similar size physically, boots a lot smaller than the golf, so depends what's important.

Was going to see what A3

I have thought about an Audi but they are allot more to insure and just the same engine as the VW and the Skoda so not sure and the price is higher so I could get more for my money if I went with VW

I knew there had to be some advantage to being Middleaged, other than falling asleep after 3 pints
