I think in order to run a business efficiently and effectively you will going to need the right tools and resources that will help you manage your business. Spreadsheet is an example of some tools that you will need. Another is Google Docs a good collaboration tool, easy to use and simple. You can easily access and share documents, spreadsheet and presentation to employees. Evernote is also a good tool that can help you remember important things like schedule and events.
A diary is a must have - with my Google apps calendar I can see what all the member of my team are up to and I can download all the information to my phone as well. I'm not a fan of pen and paper to be honest as I'm on site a lot and things can easily go missing! |
