eBay opens QR code store in London's West End

but shoppers can only purchase by scanning the QR codes on their smartphones.

Sorry, but I thought the idea was to give people as many options as possible. QR codes should be an additional option, not the only option. Not everyone has a smartphone.

It's only a five day experiment, so it will be interesting to see the results.

Definitely interesting. Don't see it taking off in the immediate future but this might be one for the long term future.

You forgot! where there are machines to scan QR Codes you also need mechanics for the billions of times the break down! Moar Jobs.
