Archaeologists have unearthed a skeleton in a rare state of preservation in Florence.
They believe it may be the body of Lisa Gherardini, the Florentine noblewoman widely believed to have served as the muse for Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

Scientists plan to reconstruct her face, if she is the woman with that famous smile. Maybe they would have to reconstruct it in any event to prove it is her.

She was a noblewoman, so maybe there was some sort of record as to where she could have been when she died, or hints at where she may have been buried. Maybe they found some long lost second cousin twice removed.
