Oh dear - seems like Apple have a bug in its new map system with some Towns no longer showing up whilst others have mysteriously been renamed.

It would appear from the report that Apple have dropped Google Maps in favour of their own system which they in turn get data from Tom Tom, although Tom Tom are distancing themselves from the problem. Apparently you are forced to use this map system when updating to iOS6.
Be interesting to see how this develops & how quickly fixes are in place ....
Its a pity the maps aren't working properly though.
