The final decline of Virgin Megastores

Like or loathe old Mr Branson, you can't deny he's one clever cookie, and as soon as he saw which way the wind was blowing, he started dumping his Virgin Megastore Music Empire.

Years later, the former Empire has shrunk to some stores across the MiddleEast, a few in Germany, and the remainder in France, with the flagship store in Paris.

But it looks like the French majority owned operation is about to close it's doors as online competition from the likes of Apple and Amazon make it unviable, as they did in the UK and US.

It's a shame, I used to like going into the Virgin stores, but I guess the convenience and cost of online downloads was inevitable.

Looks like these online stores are practically taking over every industry. Be it music or grocery. Everything is cheaper and more convenient on the internet. Bout honestly, personally I prefer to buy my stuff from real stores. Unless they're not available, then I look for them online. Otherwise be it shopping anything I still go for the stores.
