So, basically from October the minimum wage will be increased. What do you think? Would this affect you and your business?

Updated the link to the BBC site, as it seemed to be the source of your article.

I was against the min wage when it was first introduced, thinking it would be financially crippling for a lot of small businesses, but must confess my view has been won over.

It's not a huge change, so can't see there being too much of an impact. If you couldn't afford top pay it before, nothings changed, and if you can, it's only a small increase.

But with VA's, flexible mumsfree lancing, I think there is plenty of scope for taking on people if having full time employees isn't financially viable.

I've no issues with the increase in the minimum wage, I told the wife she would be getting 12p an hour increase from October and she was over the moon....

Thanks,
Barney

I agree, I think it will effect small business the most, but its also handy for those who are working on minimum wage. Like has been said its not going up by much but every little helps.

I have spoken to some business owners and they shared with me they are afraid this minimum wage increase will affect them, as they deal with quite a lot of staff, and they are scared they might need to make some of them redundant. Honestly, I don`t think it is something huge, but it seems that some people will struggle.
