Have you put your heating on yet? 19th October 2015 12:23 AM

This will save you money on your heating bills

Do you make these spelling errors? 14th October 2015 5:24 PM

I think probably the biggest mistake we all make with spelling is with punctuation either over or under doing it.... and with the I before E except after C ruling..... But according to Stephen Fry on QI this has now been flipped on it's head and they no longer teach this in schools

Do you ever? 13th October 2015 2:17 AM

My regular questions are, how much will it cost to run? All depends on how long you have it on for I guess How do I set the time clock? I left you the instructions, if you've lost them you can download them online Can you pop round and set it for me? Only if you want an invoice Where's the building control documentation? Where is the payment? Whilst you here, do you mind having a look at several other 'little' jobs I never originally asked you to quote for? Only if you want another invoice Since you fitted the new boiler, the bath tap no longer works? Can change it for you, if you would like another invoice I can see the boiler online for less than you are charging me, why? Because, believe it or not I'm in business to make a profit, If I sell it to you at the same price you see online, should it break down you'll end up calling me under the warranty agreement...I then make a loss! Do you mind working without any footwear on? Yes I do How much will it cost to unblock my toilet? £1000.00ph plus VAT How much for cash? The same as either a BACS payment or credit cards Another company quoted me the same but at a cheaper price can you match it? No

Fancy a Grammar quiz? 11th October 2015 3:39 AM

Must be pretty easy as I also attained the grand title of Grammar Genius. Which also flips my last school report on its head as it stated that I spent the entire year looking out the classroom window daydreaming....

5p bag charge, isn't it great news? 6th October 2015 11:37 PM

Before every street in the UK became awash with plastic wheelie bins, we or certainly in my local area were given bio degradable plastic bags for our garden waste. Why they don't use this for your normal carrier bags is beyond me. These bags didn't take long to degrade around 4-6 weeks if it had been raining during this time, lost count of the times they fell apart in my hands...

Do you give blood? 6th October 2015 11:29 PM

Been watching body donors on channel 5, never knew it existed beforehand fascinating stuff... Will be signing up Mrs B in the morning...

Was never a need for identity cards in the UK as everyone now has a means of being identified be that through council tax, bank details / cards, mobile phones you name it there is a means of tracing everyone. That's why when you see these cop shows where they stop someone, who then gives false details which comes back as a no trace the police know your lying. Everything is crossed referenced in the UK and there is no getting away from it, even if you decide not to go on the electoral register thinking you can hide, still wont help you to hide. You may believe you have freedom to do as you please, but the only freedom you have is what big bruv will allow you to have.... Wouldn't be surprised if someone at GCHQ spends their time lurking on this site for snippets of information....

Ok, I'll be the odd one out then. I'll happily vote out in any referendum, not sure why we're even having a vote as no one in this country actually voted us in. The only vote that has taken place was to join the Common Market, which is / was something completely different from what we have now. The biggest argument for staying is that UK businesses will somehow lose out if we leave. I'd like to know why exactly, just how does being a member of the EU benefit British Business? We will still trade with the rest of Europe whether we remain in or out, just like we always have and just like we trade with the rest of the world. The days of when it was proud to be British seems to be a bygone.... Just wish I could be transported back to the 70s it wasn't perfect, but we were a united country...

Let me get this right, so if a customer orders a boiler from me, which I then order from a merchant. I then go and fit the boiler for the customer and the customer is happy. Seven days later her aunt Doris rings my customer and states she also has just had new boiler fitted and she's chuffed to bits because it has lots more fairy lights flashing on it. My customer then decides she too would prefer this particular boiler rather than the one that has been fitted for her. I know for a fact no merchant will take the boiler back, so am I expected to swallow the loss? There must be some exemptions, what if the decided to change their mind after another 14 days? I know some people will purchase goods use and abuse them for 14 days and then return them for a full refund for no good reason, as an example I might decide to jet wash my patio, I haven't got a jet washing machine, but I know Ideal World sells them at say £200. It arrives the following day, I clean my patio and outside brickwork, I then lend it to my neighbours  so they can clean their patios and cars... Once all my neighbours have done all their spring cleaning and because it is still within the 14 day period I send it back for my £200 refund. The following year my neighbour pulls the same stunt..... Hardly seems worth it from a retailers point of view... does it?
