We have a Win 8 machine in the office and I just can't get on with it.” I had a little trouble at first (my work PC is Win 8, my home PC is Win 7), but after a fairly short time (a week maybe), i occasionally find myself missing a Win 8 feature when im using my Win 7 machine. although i do miss a sensible place for the power button, but i created a simple hibernate.bat file that hibernates the machine for me and the same could be done for shutdown and restart very easily. could put them all in a folder on the taskbar and be done. other than that, i find it faster, the search in the start menu to be MUCH faster (from a mechanical HDD no less, my Win 7 machine is SSD). In some respects its a lot like vista. It gets a bad rep for making a change, but it turns out (for me at least) its really not bad at all, and i think it is definitely worth adjusting to.
