Better get my debit card ready ! 11th May 2011 12:44 PM
Right lack of sleep & crabby so time to have a rant ....

New proposals going through Parliament soon could see a crack down on "anti social" driving - BBC News - On-the-spot fines planned for careless driving

This is all well and good but will it tackle the idiots that hog the middle or outside lane at crawling speeds thus forcing people who actually want to do the speed limit to either undertake or "flash" their lights to make their intention known.

Further still we all know the curse of the uninsured driver, i think it was quoted recently that an uninsured driver puts around
Typical, Kips at one with the world and Mary's AWOL! Have to wind Clive up, he's normally good for blowing off steam

Ive been a bit busy!!! With personal life hitting a few problems, laptop deciding to die on Friday ( i blame Steve!) could quite easily rant but ive been blowing the froth off a few cold ones & relaxing

Hi Kev

Mine seems to have gone through ok
I cant function without at least 3 cups of coffee in the morning, then Victor turns into Clive, well some mornings anyway lol

I have to be honest I have been to a fair few of these meetings both breakfast & lunch and you do seem to bump in to the same people time and time again, even when you go to different venues - out goes the sales pitch and you end up talking about the wife/husband/partner and the kids.

But will that person think of you for the next time he is wanting advertising (in our case) or will i think of him/her when i need his/her service? So in that respect is it worth it?

I have a desk full of business cards gathering dust from these meetings and after the initial obligatory email reminding them of who i am and what i/we offer not once have i picked up their card again for their service - so kinda answered my own question.
Who do you look up to? 7th April 2011 12:03 PM
Got to be honest i think the word "hero" is too frequently used, and in my mind its not some footballer thats just scored 3 times in a match!

Heros to me are people that go to defend our Country and unfortunately dont come back, dont get me wrong the ones that do come home deserve the title too.

Personally though I admire people who can help people battle life threatening illnesses. My father spent his last few days at a local Marie Curie Hospice, i asked one of the nurses looking after him how she did it - simple she replied - its a privilege to be able to help him at his time of need

Cant believe people still think they can say what they like on social media sites about their employer. Yet another example - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1373723/Bank-worker-Stephanie-Bon-fired-Facebook-post-Lloyds-boss-4k-hour-salary.html

Ive heard of countless number of people that have been sacked due to sarcastic or cutting remarks about ones boss, although the bank does state that she was on a temporary contract and thats the reason she was axed, hmm cant have helped though

Wise up people - stop bitching about your employers online - they can see it!
Personal indemnity insurance. 30th March 2011 4:02 PM
Hi Louandel

Im a bit rusty as ive been out the insurance game for too long but I think you need Professional Indemnity Insurance. This covers you in the event you are sued for any "errs" in your work.

Best advice, pick up the fone and speak to a local broker and ask for some quotes. Also recommend you speak to at least 2 independent brokers to ensure you get a fair quote.

It would be wrong to recommended a broker on here, but I do have a contact at a firm that may help if you are struggling, feel free to PM or call me for details

A toilet? Flash git, still using a shovel....

You have a shovel? Now whos flash! - im still using a trowel!

If you give me the pool for free I'll happily use it

like it - if there are multiple invites - count me in

on a serious note though and going back to the original point of moving house - having moved 5 times in 4 years, think im becoming an expert at this moving process - although my last purchase was a panic buy & i regret it, it served its purpose and will be looking for move 6 soon lol
