Firstly Sean, hope the good lady recovers soon.

My girlfriend is a nurse and bloodyhell she earns her money - she gets attacked by senial ladies, abuse from drugged up patients and then you have the goods old fashioned vomit cleaning up - oh yea its a job i know i couldnt do.

Today she is working what is known as a longday, she started at 7am and im picking her up at 10pm tonight - 15 hours straight! she then will be in work tomorrow at 2pm, finishes at 10pm back in the hospital at 7am Sunday morning - hmm not the kind of hours id like to work.

Full of sympathy with what happend to your wife - the NHS is full of dedicated Nurses working crap hours like above for a pretty poor wage.
The problem is the Nurse now have to be mangers, they cant do what they trained for - they are constantly fighting for bed space & arguing with so called bed managers and then problems arise like it did with your wife. At the end of the day there will always be a case that goes wrong, its how that is handled that really matters.

We waste millions of pounds on different projects, building new "super" hospitals rather than investing in the current buildings and update them.

I know you didnt knock the staff - and im not ranting back, well kind of but not at Sean - its time we took pride in our NHS and make the Government do something about it before its too late and we are all forced to take out Private Health Insurance - this upcoming election vote with your heart and put someone in power that could do something about this sorry state of affairs.
Advertising Cons - be aware 11th March 2010 5:17 PM
I was having a general chat with a customer the otherday, those that have spoken to me know how i love to chat lol

Anyway it came up during the conversation that Mary had agreed to do some advertising with a company, the name sounded familiar as we had agreed to do something very similar a few years back - then i remembered it was a con - it was only then that Mary did some google searches on the company coming back with negative feedback - i have pasted her email below but have removed the companies name for legal reasons

If you get cold called by advertsiing companies - DO SOME RESEARCH! Only takes 5 mins to Google someone - if they are hard selling then dont buy - it cant be that good if they have to use heavy handed tactics.

Her email reads- "Thank you very much for the warning about ********, we could have very easily been out of pocket with these "IT Thugs" as i will now call them because after reading about them and how they prey on small businesses thats what they are ,and thanks to talking to yourself you have made us aware thank you very much from us both the dog grooming business is my daughters and she is only 20 and been in business for a year and to have this mob rip her off basically for 200 pounds is not on but thanks to your service there is one less they will get ,yours faithfully Mary and Amy"
They were talking about bringing charges - it wont bring the child back & i bet the father regrets his actions - but will lessons be learnt from this? I doubt it sadly.
In total agreement with you Nick.

I was in the cadets and we were taught how to handle a gun properly, i still run around the house with the kids toy guns with my finger over the trigger guard & not on the trigger itself - look a right bloody idiot!

I do have 3 air rifles which my boys use with my supervision but when they arent in use they are stowed away, not loaded or cocked and pellets kept in a seperate place - what on earth was a loaded revolver doing in reach of a child?
Below links to a tragic story of a toddler shooting herself with a real gun thinking it was a Wii replica.

My 2 boys have a similar game for their Wii but the 2 pistols they use look nothing like real guns and they have to slide the Wii controller in them to make it work.

Begs the question though what was a loaded gun doing lying around in reach of a child?

I just think that if you have served your time then society should give you a chance. Problem is if you keep offending or reoffend for the same crime - where do you draw the line?

I recently was contacted by a lady who had been attacked by someone we listed on the site. She was asking if we would remove him because of this offence he committed a while back.

Got me thinking - as far as The Law is concerned this person was tried & convicted of a crime, for this he served an amount of time in prison and subsequently released back in to society.

Guilty or innocent of the crime a Court of Law decided what his punishment was & surely now he is free to carry on his life and as long as he stays away from his alleged victim should he have to put up with this type of
