BBC News - Singer Bernie Nolan dies aged 52

Although not cool to admit it at the time i loved the Nolans, good old fashioned cheesy pop - personnel fave was Crashing Down, although i dont think it was realeased in the UK

I know how the family must be feeling at this time, both my parents have had this, losing Dad 5 years ago but a great success story in my mum beating breast cancer twice!

Hope they find a cure for this terrible illness in the near future.

The younger members on here wont know who im on about, but many will remember Baroness Margaret Thatcher as Britans first female Prime Minister, sadly she passed away this morning following a stroke.

As a youngster i remember her defiance, character and a no nonsense approach to Politics.

No matter which side of the fence you sit on politically she certainly was a rare breed and although she hasnt been in the limelight for some years i for one will miss her.
