Social media does work, and works very well. The key is building a relationship with your followers.
If you bombard people with promotional tweets/posts 24/7 then they aren't going to click through. When I carry out social media campaigns for companies I tend to make sure I get at least 2 useful, funny or social posts a day and then once a week I will make a promotional post. Your following will be much more receptive, give it a go

Depending on your business, don't forget to try Pinterest and LinkedIn! I have recently started playing with Pinterest on one of my sites and am getting about 50 unique visitors a day from it!

I heard from them a few minutes ago that they rang up and questioned the whole Google thing and apparently they misheard. They aren't Google, they are just Google SEO Certified... again, doesn't exist!
Really is amazing how much some companies will lie to get business.

Don't get me started on dodgy SEO companies!

“Is blog commenting really important for SEO?? Well, it's just seem hard to find blog sites that have lots of commentator. Of course, you'd choose a blog that has lots of reader... so i'd really like to know if blog commenting is really that important as I'm not doing it very often to optimise my website.”
Blog commenting is essential to my SEO campaigns for 2 reasons:
1. It allows me to get a relatively large amount of links, using different anchor texts to get much needed anchor text variation (this is something you need after the Google Panda update)
2. If you make a relevant post on a related blog then you can end up getting referral traffic from that site as well.
Just make sure not to spam, add to the post or other peoples comments!
