In my experience neither of those will help substantially although the title might help you get traffic to your pins via search engines.

The traffic getter on Pinterest is getting into the popular pages for which you need likes and repins. Start following people on Pinterest that look like they might be interested in your pins and hopefully you will get a reciprocal follow.

If somebody that themselves has a lot of followers repins something you upload, that then shows it to all of their followers which is where things kind of snowball and go viral.

Unfortunately, collecting a load of email address by scraping sites (manually or automatically) and spamming thousands of them is illegal in the states so would be weary! See the CAN-SPAM Act, although it is largely unenforced I know I wouldn't want to risk it.

As Steve mentioned, the best way by far is by building your own but it does take a while. The quickest way is to find somebody in a similar or complimentary business to you that already has the resources and offer them a Joint Venture. This would usually be you offering a service free/discounted to their customers or asking them to promote something for you and let them take a cut.

In return customers would have to go to your website and enter their email address to claim their goody.

EDIT: I should also mention that even if you do ask somebody to work with you and they say no, try to form a relationship because you never know what might come of it and could lead to future opportunities.

I wouldn't recommend using AWstats or any server based monitoring tools because the numbers can be very misleading for a few reasons:

1. Awstats will count search engine bots that can greatly increase your perceived hits (possibly 100's per day)
2. Awstats will run based on your server time where as something like GA will base stats off of your time zone.
3. GA will not count visitors that don't have javascript enabled (which is very rare nowadays) or visitors that close before the javascript has loaded.

Not to mention the advanced stuff that you can do with GA like look at browsers, resolutions and monitor split tests!

Forgot to mention that a good way to get your pictures seen is to use hashtags in the comments like with twitter.

Also, if you want to be found by searches (inside Pinterest), do a search on the top left of Pinterest and have a look at the general amount of repins and likes to give you an idea of how likely you are to make it to that page.

With Pins it is more about getting into the popular category which brings the traffic. To get into the popular page you need to get a load of likes and repins (which obviously means your pin are popular).

This Pinterest is brand new and as I mentioned before, have discovered that getting business traffic is really really hard. I think I have only had 4 uniques over the last few days and will probably stop pushing that account.

If you like, I can have a go at putting some repins and likes to one of your pictures that I think could do well but as a word of warning; this could be labelled as 'unnatural' as I will be using my accounts. You usually find once you are on that popular page that you start getting organic interest.

The problem any new business or website has is that they don't have that traffic from their website or other social profiles to get the followers in the first place. Sure you can invite your friends and family but that is only going to get you so far. I have found Twitter is by far the best social network for getting that initial traffic

If you are following people that are following a person in a similar field then they do have an interest, yes it is reciprocal but you are gaining a targetted follower.

Regarding unfollowing, you could use something like JustUnfollow - Find and unfollow twitter users who unfollowed me but you have to be careful not to unfollow masses of people all of the time, I would recommend 50 a day maximum.

Totally agree, it is very important to remember that PR is constantly fluctuating and we will probably never see a truly upto date representation.

When building links I actually tend to focus ont he authority of the domain as a whole using manual analysis and SEOMoz' Domain Authority.

That site seems to be down at the moment but I would suggest just using Google to find guest posting opportunities. Just tap in:

"keyword" inurl:"submit guest post" OR inurl:"write for us" OR inurl:"submit guest post" OR inurl:"guest post for us" OR inurl:"submit guest blog"

Obviously replacing "keyword" with your keyword. I have a program that automates the searching and scraping of email addresses to speed up the process but unortunately it's not for sale anymore so I can't link you to it.

You know my opinion on PR actually differs, bare with me and I will explain.

Google themselves have admitted that pagerank is not a factor in how they rank web pages but you have to keep in mind what pagerank is.

Pagerank is a measure of authority that an individual web page has. If a page has a rank of say, 5 or 6 then you guarantee that there are some pretty heavy duty URLs linking to it. Those URLs are in turn are passing their authority to the other page.

A link from a page with PR 4 is always going to be worth way more than a PR 1 link but if that page has been spammed to death (a blog post for example) then you might as well ignore it. The keys to post penguin link building are diversity, contextuality, variation and low out bound links.

The results from Pinterest vary MASSIVELY between different topics. I have found myself that business isn't a good area to use on Pinterest I am afraid!
