Never, I pay as soon as the bill comes in, I don't expect my clients to do the same. There are payment terms in all of our contracts for this, generally 14 days post invoice, some payable on invoice, some 30 days depending on the client and our relationship. We pride ourselves on paying fast, we are lucky enough to be a fairly cash rich company so... you should pass that on right?”

You absolutely should pass it on! Some people definitely don't though.

2nd week back at work and down South the daily commute has been really awesome, going places in half the time they usually takes me”
Traffic seems back to normal almost here! Getting to nursery this week was still a bit of a headache. Apart from going past the local school. That was okay.

Have you heard of Wooberly? 20th June 2020 8:49 AM

It sounds like a children's TV programme to me.

Sounds like SEO how I understand it and one of the reasons I've not bothered with a website, as I am successful without one so why add all that work and expense?

I do write blogs for clients though, and that really boosts their SEO, as it's relevant, regularly updated content that gives value to people searching.

When will this heatwave end???? 20th June 2020 8:43 AM

In the UK we're not supposed to have monsoons by the way...

This is the summer season, it will show its effect. But this summer in July will bring comfort and the monsoon rain will also come.”

Non stop rain all day. I definitely need a background like that to look at! The driest May on record looks like it's being followed by the wettest June!

Small businesses and freelancers really rely on you paying on time. It can make the difference between having enough for the rent or not sometimes.

I'm lucky not to be in that situation now, but I remember when I was much closer to the breadline and it's no joke. It also has a knock on effect.

If you pay late, then they may be paying their creditors late etc. This is bad news for everyone, as at some point you might be that creditor.

Research in January this year from digital banking platform Tide revealed that UK SMEs are chasing an estimated £50bn in late payments with the average small business chasing five outstanding invoices at the same time, this wastes up to an hour and a half each day.

That's such a time sink isn't it?

On top of spending ninety minutes a day following up late invoices, it is believed the average small business is owed £8,500. That's quite a significant amount, especially when you're a small business. I

pride myself on paying for work as soon as I can. Be that to a business I have providing a service to me or a freelancer doing work for me. It's so important! I know how much I value clients that pay on time.

Are you someone who waits for the first reminder before you open your wallet?

Today was beautiful but it looks like rain fort rest of the week again!!

I can't wait to go to a hotel. By myself. Without the kids. Just to sleep and get some peace!

Should businesses be witty online? 15th June 2020 10:16 PM

I know what you mean .. It can be dangerous for big brands, but I do think it's important to stand for things and not just be bland.

I agree though, we definitely all need a holiday!!!

The joys of online shopping 15th June 2020 10:14 PM

Well clearly online wasn't good enough for most, judging by the ridiculous queues outside some retailers today!! I really don't get it.
