Creative Domain name Ideas? 12th January 2012 11:45 AM
Errrr ... shouldn't someone in a creative industry be able to name his own company? Just sayin'
It's a lesson for us all: You can be too big to be allowed to fail.

Personally, I think Western countries have screwed up propping up bad banks. Countries have taken on their debts and thus are hoping they can keep the show on the road until the markets improve.

Not the greatest strategy. Plus our grandchildren will be paying off these debts. Very bad.
I'm a flat-out conservative and I say, let 'em die.

Ireland has got itself in a real fix bailing out dodgy banks. The whole point of a limited company is that it lets you walk away from insane debts without making you homeless.

Rewarding chancers is just stupid. We should be like the sensible Nordic countries, take a chill pill and let the speculators whistle.
Its CRAZY giving web designers a percentage of your business. You could get a student to do you one based on Wordpress or Joomla for peanuts.

Unless what you really need is a web developer to do somethng ambitious for you. Even then, I like this percentage idea not.
My opinion: [Superlative] [Product] or [Product] [Superlative] or [Product] [Placename] is the way to go.

e.g.

Best Dry Cleaners
Kingsway Accountants

OR

Have look at lots of company names in your niche then pick-and-mix bits of the best ones.
One thing that helps a small business owner when deciding where to advertise, in my opinion:

There's the 1 big fish in any field, a couple of also-rans, and the rest. Once you identify those, you can save time and money by not advertising on myboringclassifiedads.com

So you just set up and maintain a presence on the big players and a few niche sites.

And: Manage your reputation by giving a bit extra to your clients than they paid for. Job done.
Interesting. Is the internet the sole cause of these companies demise, maybe coupled with an ongoing depression?

I wonder, if High St chains close, how will people touch and feel goods? Also, they get 'eyeballs' from passers by.

Maybe you could have a small showcase shop backed by internet distribution?

Or is the internet the future, full stop?
