"UKOG shares shot up by nearly 50% as the market opened"
Now that would be a nice investment ![]()
Certainly an exciting prospect, maybe we could even afford to spend a couple of quid on defence
Posts100 billion barrels of oil under Gatwick Airport! 5th June 2015 12:26 PM "UKOG shares shot up by nearly 50% as the market opened" Certainly an exciting prospect, maybe we could even afford to spend a couple of quid on defence Advertising and Marketing 5th June 2015 12:19 PM We have quite a few threads that discuss this, here is a particularly useful one: A lot depends on what you are trying to achieve, and budget. Cost effective to a lot of start ups normally means free. Relying on free advertising is a hard and very slow way to grow a business. Low cost then normally starts at printing leaflets and delivering themselves, or maybe PPC, on either search engines or social media. Marketing gimmicks work - thank you Nimbus 5th June 2015 12:12 PM

Finally, now I'm a happy man. I've spotted a typo Sorry Rebecca, couldn't resist Do pretty websites convert sales? 5th June 2015 12:06 PM
“ I'm using a friend to set up my website which is a dangerous game I think! We've both procrastinated about it far too much. I've managed to get work without a website at all so far.... But I really do need to get it sorted! ”
I think it's a dangerous game, unless they are a web designer. A home made effort sometimes can be worst than having no site Scottish Border Crossing cartoon 5th June 2015 12:01 PM See we are lacking in our Friday humour Mr Jan sir. Stop doing proper work and get back to our cartoons What was your favourite children's TV programme? 5th June 2015 12:00 PM Was very proud of my flump I made at school and I'm only 21 Can't believe I was alive when man first went to the moon, and we've been no where since! Does lend weight to my missus's conspiracy theory that it was all cobblers and we've never been. Was expecting to be holidaying on Mars by now Another Lloyds fine, so what's the next scandal? 5th June 2015 11:36 AM Seems every month there's a story about Banks getting fined for fiddling one thing or another, or wrong doing. Now it's a £117m fine for mishandling PPI. (BBC: Lloyds hit by record £117m fine) "In total the bank has set aside £12.025bn to refund customers for PPI mis-selling." £12 Billion! The sums of money involved beggar belief. You wonder how the banks actually manage to stay afloat.. oh they didn't did they, we bailed them out.... I wonder how long this PPI circus will roll on for, and what other revelations we've all got in store over the coming years? We've had the financial collapse of banks selling on mortgage debts, we've had PPI, fiddling the LIBOR interest rate, brokers fiddling the exchange rates, dodgy bonus's. There can't be anything else to come can there??? When is a start up no longer a start up? 3rd June 2015 1:32 PM Great question, when is a start up no longer a start up? I'd never mention I was a start up. Start up means green, inexperienced with no track record, making any selling more of an uphill battle than it is anyway. Unless it's to get a freebie or a grant In reality, any one can quickly see from a variety of free online sites how old your business is, and if you are Limited, when you filed accounts and how much you are worth. But I suppose 5 years has to be a good yard stick to be classed as an established business. Maybe 5 years is a good yard stick. If you haven't gone bump by Year 5, then you must be pretty safe to do business with Rate the last movie you saw 3rd June 2015 1:02 PM
