All Makes sense when you know the answer”

I'm getting picked on Andy

Listening to something before bed might be good though, I'll have to see. Tried to get audible on a free trial but it didn't work and I've never revisited it, I really should! ”

I'd never considered audible and always poo pooed audio books. But it was suggested that I'm sat in the car for an hour a day commuting, so I could be learning. Now I'm addicted!

As for the SCRUM book, I've started implementing the methodology this week and I can't believe the difference in output. Next plan is to get more white boards and nail them to the wall.

If you are bogged down in to do lists or easily lose focus like me, then this is a must.

bugger

Are you ready for 2018? 23rd November 2017 5:09 PM

Plans all up to date and ready to go

From your SMART analysis I'd say the 2 critical points are Measurable  and Achievable

If a goal or campaign isn't measurable then it's pointless and can be very expensive, lessons I learnt the hard way Thinking Taxi advertising, vehicle wraps.

Goals have to be achievable otherwise it's self sabotaging. You'll run out of enthusiasm, become despondent and any campaign will be doomed to failure.

Video is going to be a big part of our marketing moving forward and cannot recommend this enough: slide.ly/promo

Video creation for the 21st century. If you want a simple cost effective short video solution with simple template including soundtracks then this is it. I did a Facebook Header for a client, took no time at  all.

Fraction of the price than traditional video creation and a lot simpler than complex video editing software if time and cost are key.

Winter ?? 23rd November 2017 4:52 PM

Sat in the office today in a tshirt with my fan on. Clive is at the opposite end of the office in a jumper with the radiator on... Can't win!

My kids have only remember seeing snow once and my eldest is 8! It's a shame, used to love being out in the snow and sledging at their age. Winters certainly seem to be getting milder.

At least when the Arctic melts and sea levels rise, we'll be among the last survivors as we're in the Midlands

Feel your pain John, but great to hear from you again

Please keep us updated with your campaign and let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Current book of the moment

Absolutely first class. It's gives the history and background of the SCRUM project management methodology, from it's origins with Toyota, to how it rescued the failing FBI computer project. The bigger the team the more inefficient it gets!

If you ever wondered how these huge IT or construction projects go horrifically over budget or are doomed to failure, then this explains why, explores our human mindset and suggest a much more efficient way to manage large projects, small business or even use in day to day life.

You can buy it as a book for less than a tenner on Amazon, or cheaper as an audio or ebook.

A the moment I only have reviews from my website .As I don't badger customers for reviews I don't have many ..”

Badger away Andy, reviews have become a critical part of the selling process. It's about credibility, reassurance and giving customers a chance to do due diligence across a number of different sources, not just your website.

People are used to it and it's all part of the modern culture, annoying as it can be from time to time.

How to save a few quid on security 15th November 2017 12:44 AM
So just think about that when installing CCTV cameras. Obviously don't put them somewhere reachable so that a savvy burglar can drop his jacket over the lens while he nicks your car, but equally if you can have a camera installed indoors (or hidden in a hedge...?) in a position that will capture something useful like their faces - then this is surely the way forward.”

Hmmm is food for thought, never would have considered that! Wonder how many alarm installers consider factors like that when installing them? Or do they just stick them where the customer wants them?
