“We were all worried when we hosted the fifa world cup, but in the end it ran rather smoothly. I think that things like these do disrupt a little, especially when plans are being laid out to accommodate it all, but in the end it can be really good for business, especially ones that are close to where the games are being held.

Most of the work for this project went to foreigners, any local businesses in the area that were in the way were forced to close. Most people I know are dreading the idea, more so now because of the financial climate, They've built another multi shopping complex bragging that they've created another 20,000 jobs although at the expense of all the local shops that have been around for years. As for the roads, they may well have built a new 4 lane one way system around Stratford but the majority of Londons roads are still stuck in the same centuary as Londons sewage system and that can't cope either.....And that's why you don't go swimming in the Thames.
