British Gas to raise prices by 9.2% 18th October 2013 2:14 AM
And this is the reality of fuel price increases
Which is quite shocking, considering we suppose to be a modern civilised country. To be honest I find the idea that vulnerable people can die from the cold in this country whatever their age quite disgusting. Stores down the likes of Oxford St will have their doors left wide open with heat wafting out into the street to attract customers in, yet an individual cannot afford to heat their home.
There's lots of things the Government can do which ever party is in office at the time. They could dump the so called Green Deal scheme, which is a huge flop. Excluding VAT around 17% of people total energy bills is wrapped up and hidden in 'Green taxes' i.e. feed in tariffs, smart meters, warm home discounts, permits to pollute, carbon footprint, home improvements for the fuel poor. So around

I'm not selling, I'm going to sit back and watch the bubble grow.... And then go pop!
At least I'll be able to gesticulate with 2 hands when I have a bit of road rage coming on... somehow I feel new driving rules will come into force when this comes out
Best bit of advice I could give is do your research, glossy websites full of technical waffle means absolutely nothing, be they UK based websites or foreign based. Just because they claim to have worked for a big blue chip company, doesn't necessarily mean that they have, chances are they haven't. Before you part with any money ask them to give you 10 or so different customers they've done work for and contact some of them to see if they were happy with the work carried out.
As to the costs, well from experience this has no correlation to what you may end with. You may pay premium money to a UK based company only for them to get the work carried out by someone sitting on the banks of the river Ganges. Search for reviews, not the ones that are posted on the company website though, take no notice of sites that give out monthly awards like gold stars and gold cups i.e. top seo, best seo its all twaddle and waffle.
Just do your research thoroughly and don't part with a penny until you know exactly what you are going to get for your money.

I'll have you know I live in Dagenham, not much going for it now that Ford has all but disappeared, plenty of Western Union money transfer shops, pawn shops, pizza shops, Indian and Chinese takeaways, the largest clothes shop is George @ Asda in fact I think its the only one Tesco's has a new distribution center up the road and employ plenty of cheap rate migrant workers, having just laid off all the workers at the Harlow distribution center. There are talks about having a new top of the range prison built, which many locals are up in arms about, probably because when they 'go away' they prefer to go further afield
To be honest, it doesn't have a lot going for it apart from being 16 miles from Central London or rather 2hrs travelling on a good day...

Royal Mail privatisation - finally! 19th September 2013 5:32 PM
Regardless of whether posties go on strike or whatever peoples opinions are over the sale of the Post Office, its going to be sold off and there's no turning back on that now. So all anyone who strikes will achieve is a loss of personal income for the time their not working. I wonder how many postmen and women who are against the privatization will be refusing to collect their free share allocation? Because if they accept the shares, their right or wrong morals over the sale will have gone out of the window if they choose to accept or to purchase more of them, don't you think?
Have Tattoos become trendy for girls? 15th September 2013 11:13 AM
I got my first and last tattoo at the tender age of 12 Misspent youth, peer pressure and I guess wanting to be part of the 'gang' that was in 1974 and I've hated it ever since. It was painted on using Indian ink and a chewed up matchstick and imbedded using a grandma's sewing needles, why I had it done god only knows as it was sheer agony having it done. I certainly wouldn't recommend it
As for the modern day craze for getting them done by girls, my sister has had them done as well as her daughters, I cant help but dislike them, especially on women. On men I suppose they give the impression of men being 'macho' on women however the impression is somewhat different with remarks like 'tramp stamps' being banded around. I'm pretty sure that if Cheryl Cole had a tattoo done on her face, within a few weeks young girls would follow suit.
The main problem with tattoo's is, sooner or later we all get older, wrinkly and our skin thins and sags. I can't think of anything more horrific than seeing women in their 70s 80s & 90s strolling around on a beach somewhere with their tattoo's on show...
The one thing it does prove, is that a so called 'pop star' can have a huge influence on the little 'lemmings' that follow them...
