Just wondered if anyone had been down this road, if i wanted a twitter page design doing or a facebook design or a business logo.

You deal with people from different countries what would you ask for from them so you fully own what they create for you and own all copywrite to would you just ask for it in writing from them.

I don't want to be fleeced further down the line thats all if i decide to use this site

Thanks for any help

I think the name tells you all you need to know. "You get what you pay for?"

Unlikely to get fleeced by $5 services, and unlikely to get anything worthwhile

Work out your budget, and go talk to a proper designer. You could always look at places like getafreelancer or odesk if budget is low.

I'll think you'll want to spend more than $5 on your logo design!

It looks like i would own the work once it has been created for me unless otherwise specified by the seller.

Taken from the Fiverr terms of service

"Buyers are granted all rights for the delivered work, unless otherwise specified by the seller in the gig description. Fiverr retains the right to use all published delivered works for Fiverr marketing and promotion purposes."

Steve i know alot of people will think because its a cheap site for doing stuff then it's crap but you would be surprised what talent you can unearth from this site if you look hard enough, a friend of mine swears by this site

You know, if you invest your money and pay an established, reputable design company, you will get what you want and without any issues. Pay a professional company for a professional job. Pay a cheap outfit (be it UK or foreign) and you will almost always get a shortfall somewhere, and for most, a big shortfall for definite.

So many folk are turning to these cheap options in order to save money yet expect something of great quality. I'm a bit perplexed over this though

Everyone knows if you go to buy something from Primark and something from Debenhams, the latter will be of the quality you require, with the aftercare you expect, and will last a whole lot longer, even though you had to pay maybe 25-50% more. You already know you will get less for your money with the cheaper seller.

It should be a no-brainer....but somehow, the same thought process is never applied in the internet world!

I have seen your other threads on this and other forums, asking questions like "could I get a site like this?" well, with a reputable, proper company you can get whatever you want.....but only as long as you are prepared to pay for it.

Best bit of advice I could give is do your research, glossy websites full of technical waffle means absolutely nothing, be they UK based websites or foreign based. Just because they claim to have worked for a big blue chip company, doesn't necessarily mean that they have, chances are they haven't. Before you part with any money ask them to give you 10 or so different customers they've done work for and contact some of them to see if they were happy with the work carried out.
As to the costs, well from experience this has no correlation to what you may end with. You may pay premium money to a UK based company only for them to get the work carried out by someone sitting on the banks of the river Ganges. Search for reviews, not the ones that are posted on the company website though, take no notice of sites that give out monthly awards like gold stars and gold cups i.e. top seo, best seo its all twaddle and waffle.
Just do your research thoroughly and don't part with a penny until you know exactly what you are going to get for your money.

Thanks,
Barney
