ok, my question again! 3rd July 2011 11:22 AM
Any ideas about how to start up a buffet company?

Like any business you have have to get your name and your services in front of people so that when they require this type of buffet service, they think of you.

Naturally, a certain amount of investment is going to be required. All the usual like website, article marketing, press releases, advertising and leaflet drops, also it will depend on the area you're covering.

One other thing might be as a bit of a giveaway, that's to run an event for free. You need to find a high profile company, organisation etc in order to get the maximum benefit and whatever you do make sure its a success in every way, you will be able to live off this publicity for some time. Especially perhaps where its a charity or well known event where you can get the papers involved.

Initial investment in a new business is unfortunately essential and you must have budgets in place along with a good business plan.

Good luck.
Unfortunately, the majority of people that went on strike didn't even know what their exact position would be, bizarrely there will be quite a few people that will actually be better off.

It seems a throw back to the days when the militant leadership were followed by the sheep that believed their every word.

It's quite typical of the selfish nature that prevails.

Listening to one union leader who was discussing the talks (which were still going on of course), he said that the government hadn't even given any concessions at the time so that was the reason they were still intending to strike. What an absolute idiot. So he just assumed that if they threatened a strike and therefore carried out talks it was automatic that the government should concede something by the very fact that they were in negotiations.

When will they join us in the real world where we have always had to pay for our pensions ourselves!

OK cast my vote for her!
I went to a BNI meeting in Newport a couple of weeks ago, this may be ok if you are a one man band, I can't see it working for a larger company.

In principle it sounds good but in reality it's expensive, time consuming and bloody early in the morning, once every week, if you miss three you're kicked out unless you have a good reason, like a doctors note, mmm sounds similar to something I did when I was very young.

As my company has many products and services, I asked how this would work, not much of an answer, pick one one and you can't take work from anyone for any other category if there is another person registered for that. Great! Can you imagine the frustration of seeing business pass before your eyes to someone else (possibly) without being able to utter a murmur.

Also, you have to bring someone new along fairly frequently and give referrals.

No, not for!!
Will article Marketing Die? 6th June 2011 8:42 AM
Writing articles and press releases is one thing but the real problem here is how much value there is in it.
Many submission sites have a decent PR but your article does not get the credit from that, the actual pages that the articles are on, are generally PR0, also unless you pay heavily, your articles will be full of other peoples links and there could be adverts all over the same page devaluing the links.

Type Get 23 or Get23 in on google and I appear 3rd.... is that good?

Who's going to search for 23 or Get23? certainly nobody that's looking for your services so no I'd say pointless! If I put my company name in Google I get thousands of responses and the vast majority are for my site of courses but so what, its my products and services I want to rate highly for.

any one use google adwords 17th May 2011 5:14 PM
We are an online store. just want to make advertising via google adwords, so any one use that? Pls grant me some experience if possible. How to set the keywords so as to grasp more and more traffic rank from research engine.

Make sure you keep control of your budget, look for keywords people are searching for in your domain but where there are not so many competitors. Hits can be expensive so sometimes its better not to compete at the high price as at some time during the day, you will rate on the first page regardless.
