The reply is usually from their lawyers not Getty themselves so check out the lawyers exist as above, could always be a scam - but Getty's real letters are popular!

Trade Shows - any advice or tips? 31st March 2015 5:54 PM The one thing I am sure you won't do but what I can't stand to see is people sat behind their tables looking glum or looking at their phones or something else and not appearing to take any interest in passers by. I have had stands and attended them, I quite enjoy them as I get to catch up with business owners and colleagues from around the area I haven't seen for months. It took me hours to get round one day - could not walk 10 yards without having to stop to chat to someone and I was a stand holder but took breaks to walk around and meet other stand holders as well. If the footfall is poor they are all you have!! Memory sticks are useful to everyone, pens you can't have enough off, and if you can afford them, nice mugs .....but not the cheap nasty ones. Things that are useful and get used regularly so you need to replace them but means you see it more often. Things like tape measures and key rings get overlooked I think, cos once you have one, you don't need more of them, well not too often anyway. Air fresheners are popular too. And that's not counting when you are 200ft away. Digital curtain twitching and trolls 30th March 2015 12:54 PM The best of it is, most of these people wouldn't say jack to you in person. They're online cowards who only feel brave enough to speak up and have a pop when they are hiding behind their keyboard miles away. Facebook is the same. It's not just trolling either, it's people who are otherwise long term members who feel because they have been on a forum for years and have a huge post count then they must SURELY know more than the newbie with 6 posts and are thus entitled to tell it as they see it, including by way of insults. Now they are the idiots IMO. Trolls do it for fun but these ego-overloaded males (yes, sorry guys, it's the menfolk every time!) are actually serious! So has the PM dropped a clanger? 24th March 2015 3:13 PM No what he's doing is giving the voters what they mostly want. Conservatives in...but him out! It is rather daft though because if they lose he is surely gonna be given the boot anyway??!! Disappearing High Street or simple retail evolution? 22nd March 2015 9:19 PM The charity shops don't usually get cheap rent but they do get reduced or even free rates, so it makes it easier for them to be on the high street. That and their shop workers are mostly volunteers with usually one shop manager actually employed. They can take hundreds a day in sales. Everything is donated and their van drivers and shop workers are all unpaid volunteers. They have one paid shop manager per shop and one deputy manager who covers sickness and holidays across the 5 shops. Little wonder that they make a great profit and they aren't even on the high street but they have prominent shops in popular outlying villages. |
