It looks like Google is trying to become too clever and thus actually creates pain for many businesses.

I suggest you open a new account and create your place from scratch.

I heard on a tech forum that google was getting in some legal trouble posting reviews from other websites and adding it as part of there reviews. I understood it as other review companies believed google was stealing their content, so google is now only allowing reviews for Google Places Pages that were only derived from google themselves.

Actually these are Google reviews that disappear, not 3rd party ones

Tips to Optimize Google Places

6. You must ask your clients to review your business on Google. Ask them to write a detailed review.

What is the point if Google removes the reviews?

My position in Google maps was at the top of results (A) for about a year with 35 reviews.

Now, there are only 25 reviews out of 35 and my position dropped down to (I) on the 3rd page of results.

What should explain that?
"read more >>" 24th August 2011 11:21 AM
It is well known that in order to keep your webpage high in the search results the keyword has to be supported by a rich content, especially text on that page.

However, I have noticed many professional websites only put a couple of sentences in a box and add the "read more >>" button which either takes the reader to a different page where the full story is or expands the box on the same page.

The question is how does this work exactly in terms of SEO?
Is the expandable text beneficial for supporting the keyword although it is either hidden or located on a different page.
Is it readable by the SEs ?

I think homepages with such a design look really neat and nice.
But SEO is probably more important

Currently buying from Wella but they are not the cheapest

Any recommendations for alternative suppliers of colours, blonders, bleaches, paroxides, shampoos, conditioners etc. ?

Thanks

I had 34 reviews in Google Places just yesterday still.
Today there are only 19 of them.
Where has the rest gone?

see if you can get the .co.uk then redirect the .com to the .co.uk

.

There is no problem to get the co.uk
But how exactly do I redirect it to .com?
Will I not loose the current ranking and all the rest?
What will happen with my .com ?
