There used to be one out there, I think called iGod which was usually a computer and then occasionally a human would take over.

I found it very soothing - not so much because I told it my innermost thoughts and feelings (I don't have that much trust), but because it was very distracting trying to figure out how it worked, where the loops were, etc.

Going to have to google now to see if it still exists.
I always figure by the time I'm in it, I'll be past caring...
Logo's that lose... Leads!!! 16th August 2010 1:09 PM
I'll happily buy from a company with no logo if they can manage to spend three seconds running a spelling checker over their marketing blurb.

I also give bonus points for correct use of apostrophes. Admittedly it's been a while since I've walked out of a shop that was advertising potatoe's and tomato's (probably because I shop online these days, come to think of it) but it has been a dealbreaker when I've been trying to buy something that requires a certain amount of intelligence on the part of the vendor.
Camerons WWII gaff!! What a Muppet!!! 12th August 2010 2:34 PM
Unfortunately historical accuracy has very little bearing on PR.

It's entirely historically accurate, for instance, to say that a certain large US computer firm (and/or their subsidiaries) made Hollerith punch-card machines for the Third Reich. But if you want to be friends with that large computer firm, it's probably best not to mention that.
Insane Rain!! 12th August 2010 2:19 PM
The rain is making me nervous about the new wheels... they're allegedly rain-proof, but I just don't have the cojones to test it.
Chicken Nuggets 11th August 2010 5:42 PM
I would hazard a guess that the lack of nuggets is perhaps not the only factor unbalancing that woman.
Is Steve the worse blogger? 10th August 2010 2:00 PM
Ooh, loads. I sort my blogs out using Google Reader and it's amazing how often someone I'd forgotten about suddenly pops up with "sorry I haven't blogged for over a year..."

Someone I follow on Twitter last tweeted "Going offline as one of my widgets reports a thunderstorm approaching!!! Need a cuppa anyway."

Which would be fair enough, but that was July 2007.
Help with bad payers 9th August 2010 4:45 PM
Seriously have to echo Kip's advice - drop Sean a line.

I've only had to use his services once so far, but I've been impressed. I thought that getting someone like him to help me out would cost more than the invoice itself was for, but I asked for a quote on the offchance and was very pleasantly surprised.
An oldie but a goodie... the video is safe, the song is funny, but plug the headphones in if there's a boss or small child in the vicinity.
The internet is for...
80% of this content is estimated to be videos of cats, and details of what people had for lunch.
