I need an animated signature for our emails

Email signatures with the contact details, link to website, disclaimer and so on are quite easy to set up, and you shouldn't need to download anything extra. Just check the help section for whatever email program or webmail site you are using - it's a fairly standard built-in feature and they'll usually talk you through how to put in links and images.

Must confess, though, I'm baffled as to why you would want animation in the signature.

Beesknees you mentioned in a previous post that you used Mailchimp so thought I'd direct you to this old article from 2009 for starters...

Though I must say I'd err on the side of caution when using them as one of the comments on that article states, they can either be:-

(a) entertaining & leave a greater impact or (b) irritating

Have a play with the Geocities-izer to see How Not To Do It, or as they phrase it, "Make Any Webpage Look Like It Was Made By A 13 Year Old In 1996".

Hello Virtual Mary, Your v. kind to come back to members like you do, much appreciate it.
I do not want animations in my signature, but be able to put pictures at the bottom of our emails of our bedrooms, so that when someone opens an email, they move to another picture automatically. I cant remember what this format is called but heaven forbid! who wants smilies or grimacing dragons on their emails?
I told you we are like carrot crunchers and so is our system. I found how to set up a very basic email signature, but it would not allow me to edit it to do even simple things like change the colour of the text from black to blue, let alone add pictures. We were advised that the only way I could do what I wanted was to get the relevant software.
That's like saying to a knitter to go buy a number 9 iron and cast on 2 rows! If you dont know what a 9 iron is you'd be stuffed!

I'll read the article in a moment. but your right! I'm begining to realise that Mail chimp has its drawer backs. Chiefly that people are sick to death with SPAM & PHISING EMAILS. I have every intention of not letting our contacts get fed up with hearing from us as our campaigns will be limited for that reason.
I seriously do not want smilies and stuff like that. Im just looking for something smart and punchy that allows me to network our business via emails.

What are you currently using for your email? Is it a program like Outlook or Thunderbird? Or is it a web page that you use in your browser?

Hi! virtual Mary, We've got the Dreaded Vista with Windows Mail?

OK, haven't used Windows Mail myself... found this tutorial for how to set up a signature that seems to be saying that you either can have a text-only one that you type in directly - or you can import an HTML one with as many bells and whistles as you like.

From what I can see, the program you need to download is a "text editor". Google has several free ones but I've never used one so I can't make a recommendation. Sorry. Who did your website? They'd be most likely able to make a sensible suggestion - or make a signature for you.
