I did not know about duplicates, cheers Steve, and yes, the whole article is in the back end on our blog! Lesson learned!

Hi Kip

If you want someone to do PR or Articles for you, can highly recommend this chap, in fact will invite him and see if he wants to pop along here!

Below is a thread from the UKBF, you will see lots of feedback for him, initially it started as sceptical, but he has proven his worth, and used him myself.

Prices are very reasonable, and he has generated us a couple of longterm links.

Like I say check him out:

Hi all

I know I'm a little late in the game to start adding to this thread (about a year in fact...!) but as at least one of you knows (Hi again Steve ) I've only just joined the forum.

Just wanted to add to Kip FX Design's initial question: "But if money was no object I know I would outsource [SEO] at the drop of a hat, so come on guys and gals, tell me what your thoughts are."

YES (is the answer to your question). We are a young start up company in the web design business and currently trying to organically grow our SEO rankings. But when it seems to take as much time to move up the rankings a notch as it does to build an entire website - not to mention all the new login details I have to remember... well you get the point.

Hopefully we'll be able to do enough through our key words, article submission, social bookmarking, forum/local business networking etc. etc. to drum up sufficient business to pay someone else do all (oh ok, let's be realistic here!) some of it for us...

Nice meeting you all!

Helen, 6-2 Design

Hi Helen, well a year on, and my thoughts are basically still the same, although MaginfyB now handles our adwords campaign.

Organic SEO/SEM though is just an ongoing slog and factor of daily online life

Although keeping you finger on the pulse of your own SEM means at least you have a handle on your reputation management and good feel for your current standing, which you could lose if you handed it all over to someone else, and reputation these days, with social media getting more powerful is maybe more critical to your business now than ever before

If money was no object, then I'd throw everything into adwords. No other form of marketing gives you such immediate feeback of success or failure, which can be tracked via google analytics and goal conversions.

Do you mean that you pay for traffiic just to test your site? I've tried this and generally get good conversions on my adsense ads, but I assume someone that is willing to click on an ad to get to my site is more likely to click on an ad once they're there. So I'm not sure how accurate it is. Any thoughts?

no no no... PPC traffic has only one goal, and thats conversions. I'd never pay for just traffic, its pointless.

Interesting take with adsense, but would imagine that's a dangerous game to pay for traffic in the hope it converts via adsense. But hey if it works, game on!

Organic SEO helps to get long term results & it will take more time to get listed in the search engines.

Paid SEO gives instant results but it exist till your budget is on....
