SEJ is good! There are a lot of myths about linkbuilding and generally most of them are unfounded. In my experience at worst bad links don't count. And at best they improve your rankings.
I don't think that, link building gives bad reputation for a website. If you are continuously making back-links from your theme based websites then nothing is wrong in this.

IMO bad links don't count in any shape or from towards your ranking. I would also disagree that it affects it in any way. If it were possible to detrimentally affect a websites ranking, you would get some people trying to affect their competitors rankings, which google would not allow and are aware of. |
