This is a nice high level overview, outlining some of the recent major changes by Google as it it realign its search results and how you can optimize some of the social signals into your SEO plans.

Rich snippets have been around for a while now, but their use is now getting more and more widespread. If you're not familiar with them, then it's time to!

Of course getting them implemented correctly and displayed properly is another matter

If its about content then it will be good to get such a useful things for making some useful benefits in SEO. Need to see how exactly the user generated content works!!

This forum is one example of user generated content, as is any review based site. If you can roll out Rich Snippets (or the new schema standard) for any user generated content you have, and the Google God likes it, then it's an easy low cost way to boost your traffic.

I have an idea or two about the use of these rich snippets, I just need to learn a bit more about them first. Looks like they can be really helpful on a site.

I will definitely have a look at that. Talk about taking an old horse to water You know I have learnt about 5 times more in the last 2 years than I have through high school? (Interesting).
