SEOmoz ran a Worldwide survey of SEO Comapnies to get idea of how pricing models vary, and give an idea of what people are charging.

Interesting stuff!

Western countries are show good numbers for SEO professional but these numbers are not good for middle east and South Asians. Already i move to middle east to get good salary but now i am planning to move to Australia which looks like a better marketing for SEO...

This is stating the obvious but looks that if you want cheap SEO services that you might look into getting it from India.

IMHO I think the cheap SEO days are numbered. High volume, low quality and spammy links, poorly written and spun articles have had their day, especially if you value your business and reputation. As with all things, you get what you pay for.

You maybe able to get 10 outsourced articles written for the same price as 1 local professionally written one, but in this post panda world, its quality not quantity...

Just look at some of the SEO posters on this forum, you can quickly spot which ones know what they are talking about, and which ones are just link dumpers

Do agree Steve. There are SEO companies that do charge a considerable amount that aren't great deal better then what you might get from sourcing SEO from countries like India for really cheap. Not suggesting that anyone goes down that route but you would like to know that if you are paying a fair wack for SEO services that you will get decent quality.

Be interesting though to know why Ozzies can charge $750 an hour, maybe it's to free up half the day for a bit of surfing?

So Alan, I'm guessing you are Asian based. Do you disagree with the less than $25 an hour? Or are you from a different part of the world?

Good to have some feedback from people in the industry

I wonder how many of them outsource though. I mean, if you think about it, may people use services from others online daily to do work for them, and some get paid a lot less for what they do, so the company basically puts the rest in their pockets.

Thanks,
