I am looking forward to the day I can quit my job. I work for Argos, it is not bad and can be good fun somethimes, I get on with all my colleagues, but there is so much pressure now days to sell sell sell. Every customer I have to ask 'would you like an Argos card', ' would you like to take out the extra care', ' would you like to buy some batteries', etc.... I know customers get fed up with it. Also in the store where I work staff have not been replaced that have left, hours cut which mean less wages. I have set myself a goal to be in a position to quit my job this year, I know what I have to do with my business, ( I sell Phoenix cards and Wikaniko eco friendly products). So just need to keep at it.

Onwards and upwards.

And that's the best way to get myself and no doubt many other customers out the of the store, by pressure selling store cards and worthless extended warranties. In fairness I normally give shop staff a warning that I'm not intrested in all the extra stuff and if they keep on about it, I'm leaving. So you'd think that would sink in to the sales reps head. Have left many sales reps thinking that they've just sold me something, only to realise they've sold me nothing....

Thanks,
Barney

Yes I would be like that too. Head Office expect so much from their staff. I don't tend to shop there, not my sort of shop. But you would be surprised at the amount of stuff that comes back, one lady bought back a hoover she had only had it for 3 days, when bits of the plastic were coming off it! Another hoover came back after only one day when smoke was coming from it! thumbsdown The company really needs to work at improving the quality of the products they sell.
