A rather worrying thing happened today to a blog owner I follow in New Zealand. When he was doing a search on Google the result page was 95% ads yes 95%. Worse to follow because before the organic listings was searches related to keywords which brought up a new page with guess what yes more ads.
It's thought this is a test for the next Google update.
I think this shows the greed and hypocrisy of Google, after all they are the ones who punished sites for having adverts above the fold yet they are returning search pages with 95% ads.
Matt Cutts from Google keeps telling us put out quality sites and you will be ok I didn't know quality meant spend money on Google ads.
