“Probably this is a very good example of a working business model!” Certainly is, but no good for control freaks like me, far too much democracy!
Seems a bit of a leftie article to me John Lewis is a successful business, not a charity. Why should they pay above market rates for outsourced services? Good comment though after the Guardian article: “And what is the situation at the Guardian with respect to their cleaners? Do they participate in the profits earned? How are they treated? The John Lewis motto should be 'never knowingly underpay' | Polly Toynbee | The Guardian”
I am a great fan of John Lewis, have purchased quite a bit from them over the years. Spent yesterday smothered in printer ink, searched online for a new printer one cost Thanks, Barney
It just goes to show you that if you treat your employees right then your business can only go one way. John Lewis is a massive company that as been around for years and that's only set to continue but i bet like others companies they've had bad times and it would be good to know just what they do in bad times. davewright13 |
