Placing videos on my webpage

In addition to a picture gallery of my hairstyles work, I would like to place some videos of my work as well, again for the sake of promotion, web content filling and so on.

What would you recommend the best way of placing videos on my website?

The videos are uploaded on youtube.
So I can either embed them on my webpage and have the actual youtube windows on my page or just have a list of anchored links to my videos on youtube to be open in the new youtube window.

What is the good practice in your opinion to arrange the videos on my page, both from the user experience point of view and SEO?

Thanks,

From a few seconds to a minute or two maximum.

I am not sure at the moment how many of them I am going to have, just will be adding one or two each time I make a new one.
Just to have them as a gallery of videos I guess

Hi lena.

Im not an expert on this web thing, learning as i go along. But as a lamen, i would not put to many videos on, or have them to long. I do think images are best.

This is down to the time people are prepared to spend on a site. if something does not open within 5 seconds, they click off.

While its nice to see what you do and i think its a good idea. try putting one or two on, at around your average time . if you have not signed up to google anylitics then sign up, might give you and idea how long they spend on video page.

just a thought. as there was a golf one on here, abut the swing, i clicked off after a short time. it was a case i seen it before.

in my opinion, the average customer does not stay to long on a site. So while they are going to stay for 2 minutes lets say. you have to give as much info in that 2 minutes as possible. so in my eyes 2 pages of 20 hair styles, would look more than a video of 2 minutes.

but i could be totaly wrong, im as i would do as customer.
