Hi guys, first of all, this post has nothing to do with self-promotion. I honestly need your opinion, as we are now offering this fixed fee court representation service.

Basically, I need to know how many of you would be eager to use such a service and do you think this service is popular enough?

Every opinion is highly valued!

All the best,
Tony

1. Like every new service I contemplate using, it would depend how much and what you did for that cost. Nearly everyone researches a service or product and weighs up their options before buying. You can't ask a generic, broad question and expect people to say yes or no to that in order to help you.

2. I have no idea and if you don't how is anyone else here going to know? It would worry me that you aren't as knowledge about what's popular in your industry as i'd expect you to be.

So are you a solicitor or you have solicitors working for you, or are you para legal?

I've limited legal knowledge, although have used various solicitors and para legals for various issues. If I was going to be represented in court, personally I'd want it to be a solicitor. If I'm going to court, I want to make sure I've got someone I feel has the experience and is going to fight my corner, without having to refer for advice, even though no doubt there would be a higher cost.

I know it's paralegals that do all the work, and a lot of the time a solicitor will simply rubberstamp, but for court representation then it's all about peace of mind imho rather than a cost.

Having just had a failed Court hearing on Tuesday due to my file not being prepared properly by my solicitors to hand to the advocate, id probably look in to it next time.

Not going to go in to the mechanics of my case as it will turn in to a rant & i will hijack the thread, but in brief ( no pun intended!) im trying to sue the third party who wrote off my beloved MG this time last year.

I know my insurers are footing the bill for the court fees etc but based on the mistake & the hassle of me riding the solicitors so hard i might have well done all this myself and then claimed expenses if i was successful. Live and learn

So how would your proposal work, would each case attract a different fee? For example recovery of excess following a claim would be different from representation for a motoring offence?

Clive

Thank you all for the replies.

We have a panel of specialist UK qualified barristers that will carry out the court representation.

As this new service will be carried out on a fixed fee basis (we are the first to provide this kind of service on a fixed fee basis) we are thinking to offer this service for
