Say for example i might want to set up something similar to a local bargain finder and use the likes of ebay

How do you monitor that someone has clicked through your site and then gone to the site you advertised the deal on and then actually made payment and bought the product without abandoning the deal beforehand, hope this makes sense

So then it is classed as a unique transaction paid for so then i would receive that comission, do these companys not be upfront and honest that a paying customer has come through your site and try to not pay you the comission

Affiliate marketing is a whole different ball game to me but i have a few good niche ideas i think that i would like to try out

Normally affiliates have a unique reference attached to the URL, and this can be reported on. Bigger affiliate schemes will give you access to reporting tools.

We use unique URL's to keep track of our affiliate partners, which our system then calculates any due commission and we pay the affiliate.

Whatever system you use, there has to be an element of trust. If a company rips off it's affiliates and that becomes public knowledge, it could do untold damage to it's reputation. So other than genuine mistakes, I think it unlikely many affiliate schemes would rip you off.

Obviously make sure you are dealing with a reputable company/scheme in the first place!

Once you’ve chosen your products and companies, you’ll get access to a number of things, which might include banner ads, rules and limits for advertising, and support. Most importantly, you’ll get a special affiliate code. This looks like a regular URL, but it will have some kind of identifier string on the end of it. You could choose to promote companies and products that: meet the needs of visitors to your current site; fit a certain theme or industry you enjoy or be a company you like; have particularly high payouts or allow certain opportunities; are in high demand and are under-served in the market place. Here are a few ideas to start your affiliate marketing. Create an entire website around a particular product or company, review and add content to your existing site to promote each item , use widgets, create an app, or game, sell via email marketing and banner ads ,promote them through Pay-Per-Click, social media, and SEO.

Why dont you check out SaaS software like www.allaffiliatepro.co.uk. I'm sure they can help you. And no, I don't have an affiliation with them.

As affiliate seller, you may promote of advertise others products and you may create a commission if the prospect create a sale. different times you get paid a preset amount of cash simply to get a lead. it'll all depend upon the kind of affiliate promoting system that you simply choose.
