Well it depends on what your interests are... ..if it's an interest that you enjoy I suspect you'll find the time.

I've always questioned their validity.

Sure, they're an element of the marketing mix but have some serious drawbacks (time stamped, need constant updating etc).

All in all, you can do quite well without them.

Easy.

Thank you! I totally agree... again...

I have adpoted a new outlook to my blog I was always mega paranoid that it needed to be super super friendly like a conversation with a friend, now I use it more as a information servicing platform if I think of something useful i write it up and put it on my blog.

sometimes it is more personal, other times it could be just a document I have written and I want to share.

I dont beat myself over it anymore and I am finding it easier to update adhoc as opposed to having an outlook reminder that I used to dread.

Think about all the things we talk baout on here, we conversate very free and easy so why not blog about the subject you are discussing on the forum.

Now I know why you outsource your copywriting...

Word of the month has to be "conversate". Wait till Mary spots that one!

Just to bring back to blogging a mo, I did had a personal one and the subject matter was all about being the parent of a teenager. It was suppose to be like an online diary of how I interpreted, as a parent, what she told me (names changed of course) and wasn't really blogging to gain anything traffic wise etc. The intention was to show it her in a few years thinking she would find it funny.

The trouble was, I'm an online marketer ( so really should have known better). Old habits die hard and it started to make some noise in the search engines............... Daughter found it, I got done, blog closed!

So I've now taken the safe option and I'm teaching her how to blog

As for reading blogs, as long as they are not too serious - I love um
