Well until recently Guest blogging was considered a safe and fair way of gaining a back link, assuming you were on a half decent blog, and making a valued contribution.
But according to Mr Google himself, it appears no longer...

Common sense always stated it would end this way. Though as the article states at the end good quality guest blogs will still be valid.. ..just need to get rid of the spammy ones! ![]()
Yup, and seems to be the view of the Guest Blogging community looking at SE Land today ![]() Quality content still counts, so I guess beyond the headline, Guest Blogging still has a future, and spam will always be spam, from forums, articles, blogs etc.
